Season Dash

League software for youth rec volleyball

Every team plays twice. Back to back. On the courts you have.

Season Dash runs a rec league from signup to standings: payments, teams by practice area, practice times, game-day schedules across courts, score sheets and messages to families. It was built alongside a club director who was doing all of it in spreadsheets.

Game day 3

Sat, Oct 17 · Northside Gym · 4 courts · 45-minute matches

16 teams, 16 matches. Every team plays twice, back to back. Point at a teamTap a team to find both of its matches.

How a season runs

One place for the whole season, in the order you run it.

  1. Signups and payment

Families sign up from their phones and pay by card through Stripe, straight to your league's account. You set the fee, the signup dates and the sibling discount. When an area's teams are full, players go on the waitlist and aren't charged until a spot opens.

  2. Teams by practice area

Place players on teams in their own area, balanced by age. Coach requests go first, brothers and sisters land together or apart as their parents asked, and any request that can't be met tells you why. Changed your mind? The last roster change can be undone.

  3. Practice times

Add your practice sites and their hours. Season Dash fills the open times without overbooking a gym or putting one coach in two places, moves a practice to another night when its usual day is off that week, then emails each family their team's dates.

  4. Game-day schedules

Build every game day for the season at once. It stays a draft, invisible to families, until you publish. If a gym falls through mid-season, Season Dash shows exactly which teams move and sends their families the new times.

  5. Score sheets and scores

Print one sheet per court, with each team's other match noted so nobody wanders off. After the games, type the scores in, or take photos of the sheets and check what was read before it's saved.

  6. Standings

Standings update as scores come in, ranked by share of games won, then point difference. Families see the same table, with their own team highlighted.

For families

Parents stop asking what time their kid plays.

  • They sign in with a link sent by email or text. There's no app to install and no password to forget.
  • They sign up and pay for their kids, or themselves, and see their place on the waitlist.
  • Each kid's team, coach, practice times and next game day are on one screen, with brothers and sisters merged.
  • Messages from the league arrive by text or email, whichever they chose.

Your staff

Hand off the work without handing over the keys.

Give each volunteer the part of the league they help with. Every roster, schedule, score and message change records who made it.
